pooched my keyless remote
Hi Folks
Seems one should not put the batteries for ones keyless remote in backwards. Can anyone here confirm if it is indeed pooched or perhaps it needs to be reprogramed. Either way I need to find the code information for a 96 GCL 4wd I6. cheers Roly |

I am not sure about your year, but earlier ZJ's the reprogram instructions were located inside the OWNERS MANUAL. I do believe you will have to take it to the dealership (don't quote me on that tho, on the 98 I know you have to take it to the dealership)

Yeah, the Grand Cherokee for 96-98 needs dealer programming.

I called the local jeep dealer and they did it for free!!!
Sort of renews my faith in car dealerships. thanks for your help Roly |
