1999 Cavalier Z24 Check Engine

I love my Z24 and have had very little trouble with it until recently. I am having trouble starting the car from time to time. Once it starts, it runs well, but some times it won't turn over. It seems as if it isn't getting any gas and every once in a while the check engine light will come on after many attempts to start it. Has anyone else had a problem like this? Is it something to do with the fuel filter or fuel injector? Any ideas?

What does the check engine light say when you pull the code? If it won't turn over, it's not a fuel problem. It would be an electrical, starter, or engine (e.g. seized) problem. If it turns over normally but never actually starts, then it could be fuel or electrical (spark).

It does turnover now that I changed the battery. It still won't start though. I'll wait a few minutes and try again and then after a few tries it might start. Some times the check engine light will come on when it starts and other times it won't. The code says that the light has something to do with the fuel injector...

The car has also stopped while I was driving before (and then I had trouble starting it). I didn't have any problems until moving to a humid area so I'm wondering if that might have something to do with it as well?
