fwd low light

I have a 96 explorer eddie bauer and the FWD Low light does not turn on when I put it in 4 low does this mean that it is not shifting into low?? I know its not the buld in the dash since when I start the truck it comes on with all the other lights. someone help please.

To shift your tranfercase into 4x4 Low you need to be stationary with the transmission in nuetral or the GEM module won't allow the mode change! Same for disengagement also.
