Check Engine Light
My "Check Engine Light " on my 98 Explorer has come on. Should I wait to see if will go off in time or should I have it checked by my local garage? I know it may have to do with emissions but is ther something I could check?
Thanks, Jim 98 Explorer 4.0L SOHC 101,600 miles |

Re: Check Engine Light
You will need to have the codes read to see why the light came on.

Re: Check Engine Light
Go to Autozone or Advance and have the trouble codes pulled so we have something to work with! A CHECK ENGINE light can be caused by too many things to try to guess why its on, and they will pull the codes for FREE!
