Code 1491 on a 96 accord

Went to autozone. The code says 1491. They say gas cap. Put a new one on it. Still getting the code. What next?

Well I don't know why they told you it was the gas cap.

P1491 is Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) Valve Lift Insufficient detected.

autozone is a bunch of morons!!! go there to get tools and fluids, never go there to get opinions on what is wrong with your car! Unless of course you know the guy personally!!
