Hello,
I have a question for anyone who can help. I have a 67 Galaxie 500, and sadly the gas gauge is broken. Is this an easy fix??? I honestly have no idea. I just know that life would be a whole lot easier if it would work! If anyone can help me out with this, I would GREATLY appreciate it. Thanks so much. |

If im thinking right that should be an electronic fuel gauge, if it is I would make sure its getting a good ground at the tank. That usually rust then the gauge quits working, Its been so long since i've had the tank out of my dad's 1966 galaxie that I can't remember how the gauge works.

Re: Broken Gas gauge. HELP!!!
I agree, I couldnt check my car most everything underneath is rusted out...but the "components" probably rusted out, I don't know a whole lot of how the guage works, but a Google search does a lot of good
Good luck |

Re: Broken Gas gauge. HELP!!!
First, you need to find out if it's the gauge itself, or the fuel gauge sending unit. Not sure if you nan get to the sending unit (in the gas tank) with the tank in place.
