Exclamation 92 Accord Starts/Dies then start and runs

Im over here from the Jeep Cherokee Forum with a honda problem. My daughter has a 92 Accord I4 Automatic. First thing in the morning yesterday it started fine. She drove it about 1 mile, ran into the store, came out and it wouldn't start. After a few minutes she called me and I went to see what was wrong. It was about 1/2 hour since the problem began when I got there and started it. It ran for about 5 seconds then died. I restarted it and kepy my foot on the gas and it seemed to run fine except for a bit of a hesitation when it was reved up. She drove it to work (about 3.5 miles) with no problems. Drove it to lunch and back (3.5 hours later) no problems, went to go home (4 hours later) and the same problem sarted again. The Main Relay was replaced about 9 months ago and the ignition switch was replaced about 5 months ago. I searched the forum and found that some of the V6 Accords had similar problems caused by the EGR vale and I was thinking that this could be the problem with her I4. It had a full tune up and passed it's CA. smog check about a month ago with no problems. Any help or ideas would be appreciated.

Re: 92 Accord Starts/Dies then start and runs

Hey everybody, I just wanted to say thanks for solving my problem. If any of you out there have Jeep Cherokees, come on over to our forum and see how we help each other. B y the way, the problem was the ignition module.

Where is the ignition module

Where is the ignition module located?

Seems like I may have the same prob.
Bought a 93 acrd 5 spd in april this year. I'm the 2nd owner.

Car works fine for 3 to4 weeks, then dies completely in the middle of the road, happened to me thrice in 3 months. Have it towed to garage and its working there.

Mechanics can't find a fault, probably has had enough time to cool downby the time it reaches them

Would really appreciate any help on this one.
