Replace horn switch assembly

I have purchased a new horn pad assembly and can't figure out how to remove the broken one. I tried pulling relatively hard with needlenose pliers but the switch didn't seem to budge and I didn't want to break it in case there were hidden screws or catches of some sort. Does anyone know the secret to removal.

Oh man, be careful, you don't want to activate or damage the airbag.

I had the same problem. If I recall correctly, I had to use a small hex key and removed a screw from the rear side of the steering wheel. My car is not with me now so I can't go out and look. But, take a look and see if you see the two holes on the rear of the steering wheel. And, be very careful with the air bag. I too, thought that it can be removed with tweezers, but not so.
