I have 2 Z's. An 86 and an 88. I want know how much is involved in putting an 86 motor and trany in an 88. Are there any new sensors or electrical connections on the 88 that aren't on the 86. And will I have to swap the ECU. Both are manuals.

Re: 86 to 88
why would you put the 86 in the 88 in the first place??? Well the 88's have an lsd rear end, but I think that bolts up pretty nicely. You'll have some problems if one engine/tranny is turbo and the other isn't. go to www.z31.com and talk to either
a-zbum or jason84t (I think those are there sn's)... those guys know it all.

Re: 86 to 88
as far as i know all the sensors are the same... are they both n/a motors? turbo motors? if it's turbo to n/a or whatever, there will obviously be different sensors...
