Neon cooling fans
I have a 95 neon and the cooling fans are working in reverse. I change one of the electrical plug in one of the fans, can it be that I swich the two wires in the new plug? My air condition doesn't cool and the car overheats sometimes. Any help outhere? Thanks Sammy

Re: Neon cooling fans
Yeah I think I would try swapping the wires around.Electric motors tend to run either direction depending on how the wires are installed.

To read any OBD codes, perform the following sequence. 1)Cycle the ignition key ON-OFF-ON-OFF-ON within 5 seconds. 2)Count the number of times the 'Check Engine' lamp on the instrument panel flashes on and off. The number of flashes represents the code. There is a slight pause between the flashes representing the first and second digits of the code. Longer pauses separate individual codes. For example, flash-flash-flash [pause] flash-flash represents the code 32. The last code you should get is 55, which is end of codes. To cycle the ignition key ON means to turn it only as far as it takes to get the dash lights to respond. It does not mean to crank the engine. |

Re: Neon cooling fans
Hold I am lost here is the water in the spark plug tube or in the cylinder itself? If it is in the cylinder then have you hit a large puddle recently?

Re: Neon cooling fans
If there is water in the engine (cylinder) and on the plug then it had to get there somehow. Pathways:
1) Coolant (you say no) 2) through the air filter (should be in all cylinders) 3) fuel ( same as above) 4) contamination upon removal ( put your tea down) 5) reversed flow from condensate in cat (impossible) 6) vandalism by your neighbor |
