**update**
<<<<<>>>>>UPDATE<<<<<>>>>>
Well. The white killed me. I hated it. So, long story short, here's what I did, which is what I wanted to do from the beginning. ![]() Tamiya. Black. With the wing I think I'm going to use. It will be more flush, its just stuck on with scotch tape so you guys can feel the effect- and tell me what you think! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Anways.. Its friday night, I'm going for a ride in the blackout SE-R.

Re: Tamiya Supra Project
Great progress so far, paint came out excellent but i personally don't like the wing, but should turn out great with it.

I rebuilt some portions of the turbo. Here's a little sneak peek under the hood for now (don't mind the dust). I'll be working on the rest of the engine this week. Started on the intercooler, which will be smaller when its finished. ![]()

Re: Tamiya Supra Project
-Small update on engine progress-
Fabbed up the downpipe and Wastegate. Downpipe made from styrene tube. The wastegate.. bent styrene tube coming from the manifold, the black and red part is a piece of a spring and shock from a revell integra, the end of the wastegate is a piece (electric motor assembly?) from the SARD supra which I sanded down. Wanted to show you before I painted it. The whole engine assembly will get a final once over with paint once im done fabbing everything.

Woot. The black looks totally badass, and that engine is coming along great. I don't mind the wing, it is small enough that it adds flavor without looking like a park bench.
Really nice job so far! I say finish this bad boy.

lookin great so far. Tamiya screwed up on their engine paint instructions for the cover
I've seen most of the builds painted that way. The middle two tone insert is supposed to go all the way to the head, it's all one piece.![]() btw are you keeping those rims? I think you'll need wider wheels with all that power, or you'll just be spinning those skinny skyline rims can't wait to see the result |
