Re: PICTURE: Caprice Burnout
There's different 'chambers' for Flowmaster mufflers. 3-chamber are the most quiet. 2-chamber (being the most popular) are a great street/strip sounding muffler. 1-chamber mufflers are for race cars w/power. The sound for either of the first two will also vary depending on what you have for cats and pre-cats. Fords go nutty with pre-cats, and restrict the piss out of the exhaust. I like my old school Cobra, came with 2 cats & 2 pre-cats, none of which are on now. Off-road H all the way, and being that it's an older computer (pre OBD II), no CEL to worry about. It's a classic Mustang sound.

That sounds sweet Pete - I'll have to look into that for my sons '83.
I'll have to post a pic of the car after we get the Cragar's on. He wants Cragar S/S (6" front and 8" rear) on a black '83 4-door. |

Re: PICTURE: Caprice Burnout
Thanks! The muffler actually sounds much better in real life as opposed to a recording. I'm really happy with it.
