Question Engine temp..

Sry for so many posts guys, I just keep thinking of new things to discuss.

Is it normal for the engine, coolant, etc to stay hot for six or seven hours after the car is turned off(02 3.5) . I've had two other GM cars and they always seemed to cool off pretty quick. I'll admit, that besides this car the newest GM i've owned has been a 99 lumina ltz. Do the newer engines just take longer to cool, or is it something to i should be giving a little more thought to?

Thanks in advance for any opinions.
