Poll...how much oil does your truck use (and what kind, etc)...
OK, here's one for you. How much oil does your truck typically use betwee oil changes? Also it you'd like, what oill do you use, how often do you change your oil and how many miles are on your truck.
Oil used: 1/4-1/2 Qt (closer to 1/4 when not towing) Oil: Mobil 1, 3800 miles 30,000 miles Let's also try to be nice to each other on this one. Thanks!!!

Oil used: 1/2-3/4 Litre
Oil: Pennzoil 10w-30W Oil Filter: FRAM Changed every: 3-4000 Km Current Mileage: 127000 KM I know it's a pretty frequent interval for oil changes but, Oil and filters are cheap. I was rather surprised that the Oil Filters are so small on these Trucks.

I change my oil approx every 5000 km's and fortunately it does not use any oil at all. I use mostly penzoil 5w30 and the filters vary from fram to GM filters. there is currently just over 95,000 km's on it and still running great.

Currently at 910 miles....no oil change yet.
Sure as hell better not use any oil!!! Plan to use: -K&N oil filters (expensive as hell but worth it) -Mobil 1 (might try out Royal Purple...worked great in my old truck)

of Mobil Fully Syn using Mobil filter in 10,000 miles Motor has 90K on engine Each to his own, no harmful contaminants seen in analysis after 10K..... and I put on 26K in a year.

Just bought my 2002 Ext. Cab 2 months ago and haven't noticed any oil usage. I put Amsoil series 2000 oil and filter on it and won't change for a year

I've only had my truck since march. It has 32,000 miles on it. I changed the oil ~3,000 miles ago. I checked the oil last week, and it is still full. I used Royal Purple 5w-30. I need to change my filter soon.

whenever needs changed, looks dirty usually 4000miles mobil 1 full syn. 5w 30 have 36000 now

99 Z-71 w/78,000 miles. truck uses no oil between changes, which is every 3,000 miles. I use 10w30 penzoil and delco filters. Have never had any problem with oil consumption even after towing or a hard weekend of playing in the mud.

0 oil usage
Valvoline 5w30 sometimes 10w30 fram or Mobil filters, with every oil change I change it when the trucks computer tells me to. :wink 60,000miles on a '00

mine's an 88 silverado so it's a little different.
Oil Consuption: at least 5 - 6 qts per oil change Oil Filter: Fram Filters Oil changes: every 3000 miles Acutal mileage: 152000 miles
