5.0 conversion.
i have an 89 bronco II 2.9 4x4. i heard there was a 4.0 + a 5.0 conversion kit. does anyone have the inf. websites, ect.... and which one do you prefer. which one is more cost effective. i love my bronco, but it breaks weekly, and it is either time to get rid of it or overhaul it. i"m thinking of buying a rubicon unlimited, but I will invest the money in a overhaul if anyone has the info, thanx.

Hey, I have a 1989 Bronco 2wd 1.9 Liter & i'm also looking for info on a 5.0 Conversion to a 2.9 liter engine, I'm thinking of just putting a 302 in it.

Re: 5.0 conversion.
A friend of mine has a mid-80's ranger with a 302 in it. He had to install hood pins because now the radiator sits where the hood release was. (I'm sure there are some differences in the bay/engine combos, just letting you know you have to commit to something like this, Big Time!)

Re: 5.0 conversion.
Try Advanced Adapters. They sell conversion kits for the BII's. As far as wiring goes, you'll proabably need everything from the donor truck including the ECU, power distribution box, trans, etc.
