I have a box with 4 12" MA Audio 600 watt max subs, and I want the best performance out of them. Should I get two amps and hook up two subs to each amp, and if so, how many watts should each amp have? OR, should I get one big amp for all four speakers? If this is the right option, how many watts should my one amp have? Should it be a mono amp, or other? Thanks!!

Are the subs 2 ohms, 4 ohms....Dual Voice Coil (DVC) or Single Voice coils (SVC)? What is the RMS wattage oif each sub. This is far far more useful than Peak (Max) wattage is. Peak wattage is pretty useless, especially when choosing subs and amps. RMS is what you want to pay attention to.
So... 1) what is the rms wattage of each sub, 2) are the subs DVC or SVC, 3) what is the ohm load of each sub, 2 ohms, 4 ohms? These are ALL things that you need to know before you choose an amp and wire the subs up.
