to exhaust or not to exhaust

well i got a 84 50th z turbo
i was wondering whats been done for exhaust on them for good flow....
i had a 3" and vented iot out the side but that was rediculous until i put a muffler on in ther then i think it became too quite....
so im gonna try and run 3" to the center pipe area imk then gonna y off into 2 pipes and run dual center pipes over the axel and see how she sounds....
im gonna try and run only that and exit it out the rear and see how she sounds i hope its enough pipe to allow it to sound decent but not too loud.....
if it is ill have to pop some fart tubes or the infamous glasspack cherry bombs
and incase your wondering io actually priced the new exhaust from autozone and found them to be only 35$ a peice so it should work out nice so anyway im gonna order thhem tonight and i can hopefull put little effort into getting them both side by side and over the axel
so anyway you guys on here do anything extravagent with yours? also my other option is borla 350$ cat back (wait i dont have one lol) but i think even that would restrict it that extra horse or 2 and quite it down that little bit too much also

so any wya what exhausts are you running?

Re: to exhaust or not to exhaust

well i just got my 3" done up on my 88 z... mandrel bent from the downpipe with a straight thru "twister" muffler on it exiting the stock position... i love the sound of it and it looks awesome too... i probably couldn't get away with a side exit exhaust, nor would i really want to... i don't think it would look very good on my car
