Question Leganza high pitched sound - brake related

I got a question about a noise but B4 i tell you what this noise is lemme say that it is NOT the brake pads/rotors. my lady's 2001 4 cyl 5 sp leganza has this noise that i heard while i was riding in it last night. I'm gonna investigate more, but here's the deal. I think it's brake related. theres no noise at idle, but when the car takes off a whine starts to come from the engine compartment area. This noise is not as high pitched or from the same area as brake pad/rotor squeal. This is more of a whine than a squeal. it is not belt related, as it is not that loud or the same pitch. it is audible when the radio is on, but not super loud at all. When she puts on the brakes, it goes away - always - so thats how i know it's brake related. Could it be a vacuum leak or a master cyl problem? anyone else experience this?
