Unhappy 88 Rx7 Wont Stay Running

Hi
My Daughter Bought A 88 Rx7 Fo $300.00 We Were Told That It Was Running Rough When Parked 3 Years Ago And The Owner Was Trying To See Why When The Couple Got A Divorce.
Now, I Have A Little Backgroung With Dodge And Jeeps So Ill Try To Expalin The Best I Can. If I Spray Gas In The Throttle Body The Car Will Start (4cyl) And Rev With The Push Of The Accel. But Then Whether I Am Putting Gas In T-body The Car Just Seems To Shut Down. Seems Like About 3 Seconds Worth Of Running Time. On Jeeps I Know That The Security System Will Shut Down The Fuel Pump With What Seems Like The Same Issue A 3 To 5 Second Running Time Then Shut Off. The Car Has A Security System And I Would Like To Know If It Can Be Disabled Or How To Eset It? Any Info Would Be Appreciated And I Am Sure This Wont Be The Last Question.
Thanks

Clif

ok that made my head hurt. Please for furhter refernce dont capitilize every word. Its confusing:P

As for the running issues, check the fuel filter, pump. From factory they did not come with a fuel cut to my knowledge. If there is an aftermarket alarm have a look into that.

Sound like it could be a bad TPS (front left of engine( try cleaning the connections )) or else the idle circut( on the drivers side of the engine where some little coolant lines run into).

Those are a good place to start-

Ok, Got Fuel To Rail And Spark. Car Will Run Only If I Am Giving Gas To T-body, No Spray From Injectors. Checked I Have Power To One Side Of Injectors And Ground To The Other When Key Is On But When Trying To Start Ground Goes Away. Any Body Have Any Ideas?

if this helps, its not a 4cylinder... its a rotary.

i'd check the air meter under the airbox.. with my experience i've seen bad air meters to allow the car to start and run for a few seconds then shut right back off... as to the injectors, check all of your underhood fuses... read the FAQ for starting tips... maybe a lil marvel mystery oil or ATF fluid to the rotors will help build the compression back up if that's the problem... just trying to help
