mine does the same I think it's a bad wire somewhere or the switch needs replaced every once in a while mine will kick on I read somewhere u can clean the switch off inside and that might fix it but am just going to look for a new switch and see if that helps

Same thing happened to my Blinkers and Hazards... New Hazard Switch did the trick. I think what Greenblurr93 said is correct, give that a whirl.

are your tail lights working? they are tied into the same fuse as the cluster.

Re: dash lights need help please

the fuse fr the cluster and lights are seperate. try replacin the dimmer switch, thats the only power to the lights. if ur guages stop working its the reverse light fuse.

The headlights are on their own fuse, but the taillights are on the same fuse as the cluster lights. How else would you know that your tails are not working (blown fuse) Dimmer switch to expensive. Start cheap and easy. Take a look at the schematic.

Re: dash lights need help please

u can find a dimmer at a junkyard for 10 bucks if theyre stupid. if u figure ou thta tu need one ive got and extra ill ship to you. rip the dimmer swithc apart and check for continuity. check all fuses. look for burn marks on the back of the cluster. get back to me.
