I was woundering why on some cars there are induction kits attached on to the turbos I think it has somthing to do with carbureted engines and if it is could someone tell me why this is?

induction kits? you mean a regular air intake?
If thats the case, some people have to run an air intake because they do a draw through setup where the air the drawn through the MAF before it enters the turbo. On a blow through setup, the air enters the MAF after the turbo and there is no need for an intake setup.
