Check engine light on and fuel gauge stays on full........

Can someone give me some info on what to check for check engine light on. I was thinking maybe some sensors are dirty but I dont know which ones to check. Also the fuel gauge is stuck on full so im assuming the gauge is broke or something wrong with the floaty thing in the fuel tank. Please let me know any advise you have on fixing these 2 things, Thanks for your help. Mike

Go to AutoZone & get codes read for free, if in your area. That will tell you where to start. Don't have any ideas on gauge, but definitly get codes read to see where computer says problem is. post code here if they don't tell you what it means.Good Luck!!
