Bumper - Mom can't tell where it is
My mother bought a taurus recently and loves the car but she can't tell where the front right corner of the car is so she's having problems gauging where it is (as well as the width of the car) in relation to other objects , like when parking or squeezing through a =space.
Is there a marker or flag or anything I can stick on the front of the car so she can tell where it is. |

Re: Bumper - Mom can't tell where it is
WARNING: REDNECK SOLUTION!!
Might look funny for a couple weeks but you could try putting a small flag on the end of a wire hanger, wedging one end in the corner of the hood and bending it so that the flag is just past the bumper. Should be able to take it off after a couple weeks when she's used to seeing where it is in relation to other objects. (May have to expand on this idea a little bit to keep the flag from swiveling around while driving it... Anyone else want to jump in on this one?) |

Why not just let her drive around alot for a while? Thats usually how everyone figures out where the bumper is at and how far.

My mother is 72, and short. She does pretty good, but the way the noses slope on everything these days even some truckers I know that are pros at this tuff have said they have problems with guaging where the front bumper is.
