2 Problems with my Montana

I got a 2000 Montana van, but I have 2 problems right now

The signal light blinks twice as fast for the left one as the right one does. What could be the cause of this problem?

Also the thermometer is not correctly working. It showed 3 degrees celcius today when it was well over 30.

Does anyone know how to fix either of these.

From my 2001 Owner's Manual:
"As you signal a turn or a lane change, if the arrow flashes faster than normal, a signal bulb may be burned out."

As for the thermometer: I would check the connections to the temperature sensor. The sensor should be in front of the condenser/radiator behind the front bumper. There may also be a connector near the bottom of the windshield washer tank.

See Temperature Sensor Pictures Here

If the connections are clean and tight, it may be time for a new sensor (only about $10 US from the dealer).

Take Care,

Re: 2 Problems with my Montana

Awesome, thanks for the help. Is there instructions to replacing a signal bulb anywhere on the web like there is for the Temperature Sensor?

Depends on which bulb it is how to do it exactly. The front bulbs require you to open the hood and unscrew one or more thumbscrews holding the lense assembly in. Then it just slides out and the bulb housing twists off. The bulb just comes out. I don't know about the rear as I've never done them, but I'd imagine they would be similar.

Here is a link for the Headlight and Turn Signal assembly.

I seem to remember changing a tail light once. Just open the back door and you will see a couple of screws (Torx - I think) that need to be removed to get to the bulbs.

One other thing - there are some links at the bottom of that reference page that you might want to explore .

Take Care,
