Replies Vs. Views

I loved this forum when I first started looking to forums for questions and advice. Back then I had a Dodge truck, AContinental, a Mercedes and they were all old and in need of different work. Lately, I've noticed that on most questions, there seem to be a lot more views than responses. I've noticed in this particular area I'm in the majority as far as threads being viewed and no replies recorded. Is the active membership fading to other forums? Is there more voyeuristic apathy going on? There's a wealth of knowledge out there, right now it seems most of us are standing next to the pothole holding up our shovels instead trying to help fill the holes..........

It does appear that way. But when the only thing being discussed is question's being asked by people who wish to contribute nothing other than to ask more detailed question's about the answears they recieve about their initial question. I have no problem helping people out, but when the same questions are asked over and over again just because somebody did a search and didn't find EXACTLY what they were looking for and can't figure out how to apply knowledge to their specific application, I get annoyed. Most people are looking for a hand out, when they're not willing to reach into their pocket and hand things away so why should we even bother. Peace-
