Re: wolfsburg edition jetta

My knowledge is that the wolfsburg jetta is the same as the jetta trek was to the 3rd generation. It's a different steering wheel, different rims, and a badge on the back of the car. They may have put an extra pair of airbags in it as "optional features". The trek came with a bike, and it had a badge... special, huh?

Re: wolfsburg edition jetta

yeah, i knew it had the 1.8L Turbo as well as a close-ratio 5speed. does it have anything else, more sport tuned suspension maybe?
mostly i'm just curious about performance numbers, i know they won't be anything too special, but maybe high 6's to 60 would be nice.
you just don't hear about the wolfsburg very often

Unhappy i own one, but still dont know

i just bought a 2001 wolfsburg about 3 months ago. i have only had a few problems with it. my check engine light came on the day i bought it. they replaced the 02 sensor and really have not had any problems with it since. i dont know, my clutch might be going out too, but i dont know will get it checked out.. the only thing i can tell you about the wolfsburg is that it came with 16" bbs alloy rims, and air bags in the seats, which i dont know if that is stanard or not. it didnt even come with a cd player. it is very fun to drive, quick and sporty. i plan on getting it chipped, 18" rims, intake, catback and maybe big brake kit. $$$$$$$ i also heard if you do most of this stuff your check engine light will stay on.

Re: wolfsburg edition jetta

Well then, let’s see for the MKIV Wolfsburg’s they are only 01 and 03. All 1.8T 5-speed’s and yes only the 150hp engine but has a bigger set of brakes then any other Jetta. Only colors were black, red, blue, and silver. Has a sport suspension package. 3 spoke steering wheel, BBS RSII rims that seem to have a rash problem if in a northern state form the salt some were recalled some weren’t. 80% made in Germany but finished in Mexico with the rest. Unlike other jetties that were only 65% made in Mexico. There was a web site up from VW but they took it down to soon announce the new Wolf’s info. Though some say they think there won’t be one there has been Wolfsburg’s made ever since the old bug. I have been trying a site for Wolfsburg owners at wolfsburgeditionregistry.com if you kick on where it says 50 years of vw it will take you to the forums though its only getting up and running now I wish that it would grow so stop buy and help out if you can I am a lonely college kid. Let’s see I think all had sun roof and heated seats as well as an ASR turn off. Basically there the top of the line for the Jetta, o ya some came with leather and some didn’t. I personally run a goapr.com chip to 196 dynode hp then added a eurosportacc.com cold air intake for another 10 to the wheels. So I’m good right now but more will come after I get my door fixed. (Long story)

Well find your way over to my site if you have any other questions and post some pics of your cars…. PS not only for wolf’s but all Volkswagen and Audi cars.

Re: wolfsburg edition jetta

Hi everybody I am selling my 2001 Wolfsburg edition Jetta, car has 79k miles on it im looking for 11grand its blue book value for the car. It is dark blue in good condition, it has a 2.5" turbo back exhaust from GHL, chipped, N75 valve, and a kamei grille if anybody is interested please let me know. Also like to add that I’ve changed the timing belt, water pump, thermostat, coils, get an oil change every 3,000 miles, and also getting the front bumper repainted. I took care of the car, majority of the mileage on the car was highway just going to work and back. The turbo-back exhaust was a grand from GHL, got it chipped at eip tuning with the N75 valve, and changed the grille put a kamei grille. Its a really fun car changed everything on it so it has no mechanical problems at all runs smooth like i said really fun car.
