how do i get rid of the whining sound that my engine makes when it runs in my 94 ford taurus GL> also if you have any suggestions on customizind and performance tips let me know.

could be a bad serpentine tensioner, but you should have noticed if it was because your car would chew belts up like it was going out of style. could also be a bearing in the alt, but a bit more information would be nice as there is a host of other things that can whine, although it is probably your pwr steering pump, ford uses crappy pumps that whine, not much you can do except replace it only to have it come back soon enough.
