2001 Trooper Transmission
Ok,
I just bought a 2001 isuzu trooper. I have had an 88 trooper for 8 years now and I love it. This new one has 35k on it and I have a few questions. When and how do I change the Trans fluid/filter and the rear diff fluid - also what type and can I use synthetic? I have only had this truck for two weeks and it seems that the transmission was slipping when I was going up hill last night. It was in third gear and I was going about 40mph - it was almost like a shuddering sensation. I'm not positive it was the transmission but that was my best guess. Thanks in advance for all the help. Re: 2001 Trooper Transmission
Read the FAQ on changing the trans fluid... kind of a pain in the ass, but not hard. Rear differential has a normal drain and fill hole, so it should be pretty easy.
