99 Front rotors + Shocks

Just done the front rotors 99, 2500 Ram truck. Total Pick of a job, do not know if this is how to do it but I did it this way. Take off caliper and Pads remove, Big nut in middle of drive shaft, then slide hammer the complete hub/ rotor everything off, Knock the studs out clean the hub and studs, then Bash with big hammer the studs back through the new rotor into the hub, grease the drive shaft end and replace the hub back onto the upright, hold the hub/rotor in place then use someone else to hit the center of the hub unit back to the upright, once it starts use the big middle nut to help it back together. It is not for the weekend mechanic, I am a full time mechanic and will next time take it to the dealer and pay some one else do it.
What shocks you lot running, I have just fitted KYB monomax reds all round and not totaly happy. Any better ideas
