rear ends

does anyone know for sure what type of rearend is in a 2000 xtreme with a 4.3 ? parts store said the s10 came with 7.5,8.5 and 8 5/8ths ring gear my rear end tag is missing from underneath

if all else fails you can always take the carrier out of the rear and measure the ring gear for it.

no need to take your rearend apart get your VIN and call your local dealer service shop they should be able to tell you
