2005 Rally of Finland

Finally a win for a Peugeot driver with Marcus winning on his home soil. In fact, a very good result for the whole team as Markko finished in third , with Loeb separating the two. Solberg finished fourth.

What this means that Pug retake the lead of the manufacturers' standings (by a whole single point) ahead of Citroen and Gronholm moves ahead of Solberg in the drivers' standings into second place, be it 28 points behind Loeb.

Re: 2005 Rally of Finland

A long time between drinks for Marcus and Peugeot. That is five Finland wins in the last six years for Marcus. Impressive. Finland is one rally the drivers can make up for the deficiencies in the 307 and the Pirellis. Citroen are going to have to get Carlos Sainz back or Peugeot are a good bet for the constructors championship. Hopefully Martin will have more confidence in the car now and can add some speed to his incredible point scoring consistency.
