blown engine

Hi

Can any one tell me if they have ever heard of a blown engine on the 97 Dodge Dakota with 68,000 miles?

I feel this is extremely unusal for such low miles

I've heard of motors blowing with a 1000 miles on them. There's a reason why it blew??
