Angry Pulley System Nightmare

I Have A '97 Malibu That Over The Past Year Has Had Every Pulley Replaced. Now, The Tensioner Pulley Bolt Wont Tighten And The Bolt Hole Seems To Be Stripped. Is This A Common Problem? Is It Fixable? And What Are The Costs I'm Looking At? This Car Has Given Me Nothing But Trouble With The Intake Gasket, Water/coolant Leak On Driver Side Of Engine, A/c Acting Up And Fan Not Working! It's Been A Nightmare, Can Any One Help???????????

Re: Pulley System Nightmare

I have a 97 Malibu, it is a good car and recently I had to replace all the belt tensioner, the two Idler pulleys and the power steering pulley, I also replaced the power steering pump, now everything seems fine again. I wanted to mention that the new pulleys are metal an dthe oem ones were not, they were a plastic/compasite type material. I think these new pulleys are much better. We have 150+ Kilometers on the car now, it gets 35 miles to the gallon.

We put it in the shop and had that problem fixed, hope it works and we don't have more problems. They did say that the lower intake manifold gasket is needing replaced. Hope that's all!
