Re: mpfi swap wont star help!!!!

First thing - which distributor did you use? The mpfi distributor is different than the dpfi. Second, have you checked the ecu for any codes?

Re: mpfi swap wont star help!!!!

You may have the wrong plug on the intake air sensor. If I remember correctly, there are 3 plugs on the wiring harness that will plug into that sensor - just gotta keep trying them until it goes away. That's what I had to do - I can't remember which color the wires are for it.

Re: mpfi swap wont star help!!!!

technically, that shouldn't cause it not to start though. If you aren't getting any spark a part in your distributor could be bad, or it's wired incorrectly. Is 10 the only code you are getting?

yeah 10 is the only code and i dont think anything is wrong with the dist. cause it ran fine when i pulled it. there was two wires on the dist. that looked to be the same color maybe those could be backwards. does anyone remember there being two off whit colored wires???

Re: mpfi swap wont star help!!!!

Yes, there are two white wires - one is a bigger gauge wire - that's the only way to tell. You may have those backwards.
