Re: Test for intake leak?
OK, new info. I rechecked the TPS voltage and found the following:
During idle, the white wire has 11 volts, the blue has 1.3 (again)! This is crazy! Is my PCM out of whack? BTW, earlier, I took off the EGR valve (electronic) and plugged both ends of the pipes. No change. Now, that doesn't mean that I may have the crack in the flexible pipe like you are suggesting. I'll do a visual on it and see what I can find. |

Re: Test for intake leak?
What kind of meter are you using? Check the Voltage going to the idle air control and CTS. They should also be 5.0 volts. If your PCM is putting out 11 volts, you have a problem!!!!!!!!!

Re: Test for intake leak?
Hmmm, sounds like I better double check my guage accuracy. I'm using an analog multimeter. Less than $20 at the local hardware store. That could be the problem (hope so), but when I check the voltage straight from the battery posts, I get pretty close to 12v.
What/Where is the CTS? |

Re: Test for intake leak?
The CTS (coolant tempature sensor) is the engine coolant tempature sensor you said you replaced. Every sensor the PCM gets input from, should have 5.0 volts on one lead.

Re: Test for intake leak?
Can you say wild goose chase! I double checked my guage...it's off! Dang!!! Got a new guage, everything checks out...5v on the incoming leads and .5v on the variable lead. I think I'm back to my intake leak problem.
