95 maxima throttles to 2 rpm won't go over
It all started with occassional stalling even at full speed. Then I noticed the tach would go crazy and jump all over the place. The latest symptom is the engine throttles to 2000 rpm and won't go over. If I hold the gas peddle down instead of hearing a continous hum of the engine I hear it surge then fall back then surge and fall back while the tach remains at 2. Any help would be appreciated.

Roll dice, if its maxima: Lack of MAF, cam sensor and/or O2 sensor(s) sets ECU to safe-mode. One implication is 2.2k rpm ceiling. After voltage checkup, there is lot to do. Check out this site:
