Unhappy My Honda CBR 600 F3 Gets Owned...

Well guys i am now without a functioning bike or a bike that can even be pushed for that matter...here's what happened:

Two nights ago my cousin and I met up at his house to check out his new harley (1979 chopper, i don't remember the name of it.....really nice though) and maybe to go on a short ride just to test out the bike and make sure that the seat/suspension is rider friendly to him. So anyways after we get back from our ride of probably 20 minutes, my girlfriend calls me up on the cell and want to know if I have plans tonight and wanted to go to the club. I said no and we planned that we (me, my g/f, my cousin, his g/f) were going to ride down to the club because it was a nice cool day.... so we go to the club and have a great time....blah blah blah....now here's where the day goes in the toilet...I'm chilling at one of tables and i tap on the shoulder and one of the bouncer dudes says,"Do you own a black honda motorcycle?" and i said,"yyyyyeah......" thinking "why the hell do you want to know"..hehe...then he says "you need to come with me please".....now at this point i'm confused out of my mind and don't know what to expect and when i get outside i see my worst nightmare.....i look down the street to where the motorcycle parking is and there was a huge black H2 ON TOP OF MY BIKE!!!!!!! Needless to say i my heart sinks....this was my baby, my pride and joy that helped me get the ladies and put my friends cars and bikes to shame and now there it is under a 6 thousand pound SUV with 24 inch rims....i had just put a Yoshimura pipe on that thing!!! ....immediately when i walk to my bike and pick up a broken plastic peice that said "CBR" on it the short little white guy that ran it over started apoligizing over and over and i could tell immediately that he was intoxicated..the cops charged him with a DWI and reckless driving (i thought they were pretty much the same thing but...whatever).....sigh*, so now i guess i'm going to collect insurance from this dudes insurance company and hopefully it'll be enough put a good down payment on another bike....damn this sucks....anyways thanks for reading....(RANT!!!!)

Footnotes:
Reedin' maykes yoo smart.....yoo shood doo morr ove it yoo layzee bastards...hehe

REAL Footnotes: Went to club with g/f and cousin and came out to CBR under H2.....

That sucks.

People charged with DWI should be regulated to Vespas.

Re: My Honda CBR 600 F3 Gets Owned...

well i have 5500 bucks for a downpayment on a bike, plus the insurance money so i could get a brand new bike if i wanted....i just don't know if i'm ready for a liter bike yet....i've been riding for 3 years (1994 Ninja 250R, 1992 Yamaha FZR 600R, 1996 Kawasaki Ninja 600, which i traded for a 1997 Honda CBR 600 F3...now in the junk yard) so i would think i'm ready for a new bike but i don't know about liter...we'll see, i'll test ride one.....these are the bikes i've been really thinking about...I've listed the 1/4 mile times and top speed (in that order):
******

Yamaha R1 (1/4-9.92, TS-187mph) R6 (1/4-10.68, TS-160mph)
Kawasaki ZX-10R (1/4-9.92, TS-186mph) ZX-6R (1/4-10.50, TS-159.5mph)
CBR1000RR (1/4-10.16, TS-175mph) CBR 600RR (1/4-10.68, TS-162.2mph)

I know nothing about bikes but all of those look rad. Sorry to hear about the CBR, the new lineup looks great though.

Yeah H2 owners are idiots. (all of them, no exceptions at all).
Sorry to hear that your economical, space efficient, evironmentally friendly machine was done in by the evil that symobilizes everything that is overly retarded in this world. I'd have been pissed if it was my bike. I'd have been out of $75, and $0.98 worth of gas.

Re: My Honda CBR 600 F3 Gets Owned...

Ride an F4i before you buy a brand new bike, they're a bloody nice bike, and a little more forgiving than a 600RR.
I see you've left the GSXR1000 off your list, why? aparrently they're the quickest litre bike around, and handle like a 600

Yeah, 1000cc Suzuki is missing off the list of liter bikes. As for my suggestion, a GSX-R 750. Nicest bike I have ever been on. Don't have to rev it as hard as a 600 to get moving fast, don't have to muscle it or be anywhere near as careful with the throttle as you would on a full liter bike.

Re: My Honda CBR 600 F3 Gets Owned...

i'm as performance oriented as anybody but...honestly i don't like the mono headlight setup on the GSXR's...i think they're fugly IMO, and to me it seems like honda is getting owned in the stats....their liter bike has a 10 less mph top speed? and are 2-3 tenths slower than the rest in the 1/4 mile?? i mean i love the hondas but it seems like getting one would be handicapping myself from the start....especially since i ride my bikes HARD...(you can see how many i've been through, hehe)....i love the yamaha R1 aesthetically....nice, smooth lines....but the honda looks great too but is the slowest in every catagory.....*sigh quite the toss up....let me know what you guys think...

Re: My Honda CBR 600 F3 Gets Owned...

Allow me to make a quick sidebar... for those of you who didn't know... there is a BIKE forum on AF to discuss all this.

I know there is a duplicate of this thread, but I'm glad that this is getting some attention in the "general" AF public because bikes do NOT get recognized on the street until it is often too late.

As for getting a new bike... dude, just get a new 600. They are still more nimble than the liters...

i may be a car guy through and through, but i still love bikes. i don't know if i'll ever own one though.

anyways, sorry to hear about your loss, but hey now you can get something kick-ass.

my choice would be an R1 or GSX-1300R Hayabusa. two of my dream bikes.
