1995 monte carlo

Ok i just bought this monte carlo its a 1995 and I know it needs 4 new struts but my service engine light comes on intermittenly and same thing with my brake light and abs light and i bought the car from my cousin and he just got the brakes changed now too long ago can anyone help me to find a possible solution without spending lots of money.

Try disconnecting the battery overnite and this may reset all the systems.

Clean and apply dielectric grease to all the connectors involving the abs system (at the wheels and at the brake booster).

These will be "hopefull" attempts.

I would ask your cousin if he had any type of Curb checks! If yes the you might need to look at the speed sensor for that wheel!

If no, then IIRC you should be able to scan it if it is giving a trouble code! Go to places like autozone, checkers, big wheel, I think even pepboys to have them scan it most will do it for free!! But I can't remember fi the OBD1.5 has those codes! But it is a place to start!

more than likely the SES light and the ABS light are two different problems considering they are two different systems. the SES light will be able to be checked at the places that "fist" mentioned. the ABS light however, will be a little more difficult depending what system the car has in it.
