what trannies wil fit
My brother has a 1997 monte carlo automatic and his transmission went to hell....he wants to buy a used one but i am wondering like what other years or model transmissions will bolt right up...

If it is a 95-99 ls (3100sfi) then a 4t60e will be needed! The cheapest ones will be 98 and up!
If it is a 95-97 Z34 3.4 dohc then a 4t65e and same with the 98-99 3.8 Z34 EDIT: www.car-parts.com will help you locate the cheapest one!
