wont start

Hi Guys:

I am new here and I hope someone can help.

I had a loud lifter noise in my 90 PA. I removed the valve cover and pulled the pushrods and cleaned them and did the brake cleaner WD40 wash on the spring, saddles etc,.

Right after I did this I had to remove the EGR valve to get the car to start. Let it sit overnite and now it wont start with the EGR on or off. Cranks hard at times and hiccups but wont fire. Any ideas?

It's not gonna start with the EGR off. You are losing exhaust backpressure as well as creating an intake leak. Why did you remove the EGR?
