Window regulators
I finally got a chance today to check out my window problems and found that the drivers side window regulator has some big problems. It turns fine, but the wire that I guess was at one time neatly spooled around it was all tangled. So now what? I have no idea how the wire is supposed to go back on the spool and how it attaches to make the window go up and down. Anybody have experience with these things?

can't help you man but def feel your pain. driver's side on my 95 rodeo went out last night and the cable's the problem, its bent and fraid. going to the junk yard today to see if i can find a new cable/regulator. why can't they use an arm like ever other car on the road.

Re: Window regulators
Good deal! You may have been able to get it a little cheaper online, but big deal. Glad you did it yourself. I've done 5 now between my VW Jetta and the Rodeo, and it's much less painful when you don't have to pay labor charges.

Unfortunately there are no pick a part junkyards close by anymore. The one Cosmos now pulls it for you and charges big bucks. If its $100 new they want $60 or $70 used. They wanted $300 for the powerwindow-Scumbags! Anyway sometimes new is they way to go. A use one will be close to 10 years old and thats pretty much what I already had. Of course now I have much bigger problems-one bad axle/cv joint and another with a torn boot. looks like big bucks in labor charges
