New Guy....

Hey ya'll. Just a new guy stopping in to introduce myself.

My name is Cody, and I am from knoxville TN. I drive a 1990 civic Hatchback with a little work. Noting major.

I am about to buy a 86 crx si, and I was researching a little on this site for different swaps and things. The only thing I found out is that I can go ZC or D16a1(crx si, i believe). That all sounds good, but is it possible to go b18? I was looking for some mounts, but i haven't found anything.

I have hasport (b series) mounts in my 90 but I don't believe those would be the same in the CRX. I might just make the crx a daily driver. Is the D16a1 a hard motor to install in the car? The stock motor runs fine, but it has some oil leaks and it lacks on power.

Thanks for helping a noob.
-Cody

Re: New Guy....

Hassport makes a b-series kit for the 1st gen CRX, but it's not the same as the 4th gens... So, it would work, in theory, if you had the $2k for it. And welcome to the forums!

Not sure, I'm stationed in Jacksonville FL right now, but the weather here sucks. Thats for the info. I need a DD. I keep breaking my civic.....It's a honda...Not a DSM, but it sure breaks like one.
