Thumbs down Put the crx to sleep

Well after having to come to a decision of what to do, the crx is gonna be parked for the next few months. I need a car to drive now and I cant wait on parts for the crx to come, and I really dont want to cheap out and do a half off job on the crx, so parking it seems like the best idea. im also going to find a new job working 3rd shift since its the only shift I can work full time due to me going to school 2-8 every weekday and its a hour commute each way. I really didnt want it to come to this since I hate driving the truck, but it seems to be the best idea for now and my parents think its the best idea for me too.

So my plans for the crx are now this. CTR cams, skunk2 valve train, P&P, arp head studs, high compression head gasket, replace all the gaskets in the head intake mani, exhaust mani, cam seals, injector seals, everything, skunk2 intake manifold, 4-1 mani and 2 1/4 exhaust. and possibly a GSR block, depends on my budget. Wish me luck guys, I have a long road ahead of me. Until then I have to drive this:

Re: Put the crx to sleep

I hear ya Hybrid. I haven't even started mine up in about a month and a half. Then again I was out of town for about two weeks. That and down here in south central tx it gets hot, and i prefer A/C.

Right now I'm replacing suspension stuff, tie rods, cv shafts and engine mounts. Just waiting on funds to get everything and install all at once.

So what are you going to do? Put a SOHC back in the Rex?

Re: Put the crx to sleep

Im not totally sure yet. Its gonna be a lot of work to do that and I'm not really sure if its gonna be worth it. I think im just going to drive the truck until the car is done. Cause I know that a6 was beat to hell and I'd be pretty pissed if I did all that work and then it fucked up.

Re: Put the crx to sleep

HA. I WISH i had tons of cash. Im scraped together money working as much as possible and doing side jobs just to get my car back on the road. I ordered my headgasket kit today and i'll order the head studs tomorrow. Car should be running again by next weekend. Just have to get axles and put the new brakes on that back that FINALLY came today and then get it inspected. So should be a month and the crx will be back on the road.
