possessed ???

I am now the proud owner of a 1997 Grand Cherokee Limited. It has more stuff in places I didn't even know it had places ! A lot more luxury than I am used too ! Now the problem :

my drivers side mirror moves by itself. I have it adjusted where I want it and I stopped at Walmart when I came out it had moved. It also did it at work and no one was around it as I work alone !!! Am I crazy or has this happened to someone else too ??

Re: possessed ???

this is deffiantely a new one.....lol
It could be the switch, when you get it in place turn the direction switch (the one that is used to control which mirror you want to adjust) to the middle position.
Check wiring in the door jam. These wires are known to break, I have had many problems related to the door jam wiring.

Re: possessed ???

Power windows I presume???

How is the switch for "feel". there should be an "off" position where you can't adjust either mirror.

Is the mirror loose in the housing when you push on it?? maybe one of the cables are broken.

Or- Someone is playin with your mind>>>>>>>>>>

Re: possessed ???

Ok it's not possessed. I think I know what it is. Your keyless entry has been programmed and you need to change it. Everytime you lock or unlock (come back to) your car it will go back to what it is in the keyless entry program for the previous owner. Mine came with two sets and aloud me to program them for different drivers. You need to program this remote by looking in your manual and doing, if you dont have it, i can look it up. should be some button on driver side door. with a 1 & 2 listed. I went through the same thing! It will adjust the seat, the mirror and even your radio station that you want on when you get into your car! It's cool. No its not possessed! Hope this helps!
