Myth or true?
Ok, I have a question. I was told by some that when you see sneekers, shoes or whatever on crossing powerlines, it means that it's an area where drugs can be bought. Now is this true? Or is it a myth and just regular vandalism?
I was just wondering because a town over has two spots where there are sneeks on the powerlines on the same street. I live in a fairly rich area where the houses and neighborhood in the surrounding towns makes you think that this would be the last place to find a drug spot. Would the police know about this? If not, I would let them know and to keep an eye out. (I don't want to buy drugs myself, I just hate those who traffic it and sell it, to those who wish to waste their lives away on them).

Re: Myth or true?
I suppose it could be...just like at one of the McDonalds in the area, asking for extra biscuits meant you wanted weed with your order. Think of the poor old guy who accidently asked for extra biscuits..

Re: Myth or true?
I asked 3 people that look like they do drugs in the office and they laughed and said no.

Re: Myth or true?
I think that it means that someone threw sneakers over the lines.

Re: Myth or true?
Last I heard it was a practical joke.
I guess you should ask the person who gave you ths "myth" where he gets his drugs from and steer clear. |

Re: Myth or true?
Well.....I'd have to agree. Simply cause my old neighborhood, EVERYONE sold drugs, and the were shoes on EVERY power line. So.....maybe.

Yeah I think when someones shoes are hanging on telephone lines it usualy means someone's shoes are missing.

Re: Myth or true?
Just go toss your shoes on the power line in front of your house, if someone comes looking for drugs then the answer is yes.

Re: Myth or true?
It's how gangs mark their territory. Like if your dumb enough to be in a gang and wearing your gang colors, if come across some powerlines with sneakers on them, then you gotta watch your ass because you're in hostile territory.
-In Los Angeles, anyway. |

Re: Myth or true?
Chinese proverb ... "He who throw shoes on power lines ... walks home in socks"
![]() I think it is a game ... kinda like tossing pencils in acoustic ceiling tiles to make them stick. I just looked out my window and there are snow shoes hanging from the power lines. What does that mean?
