97lx TRUNK PROBLEMS...

my trunk will not latch shut i dont know what happend. any ideas will help but i guess ill just try to wing it if i cant get help.

Try using your key in the trunk lock... this same thing happened with my '97 Civic... the problem was that the lock was sticking and not allowing the trunk to shut...
Just try locking/unlocking the trunk lock and it should set it's self correctly...
Try it and let me know if it helps...

Spray a lil WD-40 (or equivalent) into the latches and lock and check the latch cable to make sure that it's connected at both ends and not pinched in place by anything along its way (you don't need to remove anything, but if you have any stereo stuff bolted to the car, it could be hoding it back.) Make sure the springs on the lever by your foot and the latch at the back are connected.
