2000 Montana Starter question

I was just wondering how much of a project it is to put a new starter on a 2000 Montana. Any replies would be helpful, thanks.

Per my service manual on the 2003, it looks pretty easy. There's a plastic splashguard below the radiator that you can remove to get access, then there is a torque convertor cover that is held on by 3 screws. Then the starter is held on by two more screws. Don't forget to write down your presets and always take off the negative battery cable first. That way if your wrench touches the frame, you're not completing a circuit.....good luck, Glen

Your presets should be retained by the radio. It either has a battery backup or some type of NVRAM to retain the presets. I've had my battery disconnection from period of a few seconds to over a week and never have lost my presets. Too bad they didn't hook the clock up to the circuit though...
