[email protected] in street trim

Finally got the truck running good, took it out to Atco yesterday. Damn it was hot. After the sun went down and it started to cool off (I think it got down into the 70's, chilly LOL), I was able to get a couple good runs off. Ran mid 12's most of the day, had a string of 12.46's. Pulled off a 12.2@112 and then someone oiled down the track. After a nice long cool down waiting for them to get done, I pulled off a new best in street trim (on DR's), [email protected] with a 1.79 60'. I'm going back tomorrow to run the slicks/skinnies, gonna pull the front sway bar and all my other lil track tricks. Should be back in the 11's, even with it being hot. Damn I can't wait for fall to see what she can really do

NICE!!!! Well, I'm back around here. Been gone for a while getting my crap together(cosmetic and performance upgrades). I got my new injectors in and raised my shift points to 6500rpms. I got in my calvertracing caltrac bars. I also got my new grille and grille insert in, as well as got my nitrous bottle painted. I'm down to a 12.30 on motor before my injectors, caltracs, and new shift points. I did talk to my tuner today to find out my timing, and it looks like the nitrous is a go for Sunday. I'm starting with a 75 shot and working my way up to a 100. Nelson told me today that he could get my NA times down to a 12 flat on motor, but I'm impatient and want the low 11s.

Maybe I'll be ready for you someday.

Awesome guys. And its good to see both of you all back on the boards.

SlowProcess, I'm gonna send ya a pacifier and bib to go with your bottle! LOL.

And since you guys posted up some new times, then I'll share with ya that I myself had some new best times thus far on the year. I've pulled out a 1.464 60', and ran 4.403 in the 330, and that was getting out of the gas about 20 ft from the line.

It's nice to have a "real" race car, isn't it!!!! I'd love to step out like that one day!!! Great times and I read about your reaction time. You think you're the man now, huh? Keep kicking that ass!

1.7s in a truck, that is awesome

How many runs did you get in? ... sounds like a lot more than I am used to at Maple Grove.

Damn dude, 12.30's on the motor, you're gonna be kicking my butt on the juice, very nice! I've got the truck all ready for tonight, hopefully the rain stays away and I can get out there and get back in the 11's. Definitely post up when you get your juice runs in

I ran a 5.1 in the 330, damn I feel slow now LOL I can't even imagine a 1.4 short time, that's gotta be fun. I'll be happy when I can get some 1.6's.

Thanks, I think she'll pull 1.6's on the Hoosiers if the prep is there. Amazingly enough, I got 10 runs in, and that was with an hour long break so they could clean up after a guy oiled down half the track. That's the most runs I've ever gotten in on a weeknight, usually it's five, maybe six runs. The Gambler's and Quick8 guys eat up a lot of time on the weeknights. It wasn't too crowded, I think the heat kept a lot of people away.

LOL. Well I'd like to have a fast street vehicle as well, but seriously, there's nothing like a track only car! No worrying about emmissions, insurance, mpg, etc. etc. etc.!

I was pretty pumped the night I cut a perfect reaction time. I was even more pumped when I almost had a perfect run (its in my sig.), and even more pumped this past Saturday when I won (me and JekylandHyde both won on the same day, pretty cool-different tracks though, lol). And trust me, I'm gonna try to keep kicking ass!

Man 5.teens is awesome for a street vehicle in the 330. Thats actually fast enough to run Bracket 1 (my bracket) where I race (or anywhere for that matter, Bracket 1s cut off at 1/8th tracks is usually 7.49 or 7.99, and I'd say you're 1/8th time was in the mid 7s). The cut off is 0-5.49. And there is a car that runs 5.20s, lol. I raced a car dialed 4.95 this past weekend. I was dialed 4.46. I didnt think I was ever goign to get turned loose to try and catch him!

Cut a 4.95 330 last night, on a 1.69 60' 7.65 1/8th to an [email protected] 1/4 Oh, did I mention it was 85% humidity last night? Yeah, and as you can see, my truck is all topend LOL Gotta get a bigger stall (probably 3600, possibly 4K) and some Caltracs. I'm making all the power I'm gonna make, so I gotta work on getting it to the ground better. I think mid 1.6's are doable with the right setup, maybe a lil better. Also need to do a lil more tuning, still rich on the low end and midrange.

Well, it looks like this tropical depression crap is going to be bringing in a ton of rain down on our coast where I was planning on running Sunday. At least I'll get my 20s on this weekend and probably have enough time to get the nitrous ready for the next midnight madness in Memphis. I hear there are a few late model Lightnings there to pick on.

Re: [email protected] in street trim

That's awesome dude!

I plan on going to an 1/8th track somewhere around the 4th of July, so I'll be able to get some 660 ft and mph times up. My 60' and 330 will probably (well, no probably to it, lol) will improve by around a tenth at the track I want to go to. So I'm really going to be gunning for some super low 1.40s, if not super high 1.30s and very high 4.20s to very low 4.30s in the 330. I'm very confident if my car will run like it did on that 1.464 60' pass (wasn't a fluke either, becuaes I've had another 1.48, and three or four 1.49 60s since then) where I normally race, then it'll be dangerously close to 1.39 at this 1/8th track (in Clay City, KY, which is more north and further west then where I am, also probably anywhere from 600-800 ft lower then I am, if not more). Anyways, I'm shooting for 6.60s in the 1/8th at around 102 mph. The shop that built the engine said it really starts making power at around 6500-6800 rpms, and I'm just barely pulling 6000 at the 330 line at my normal track..sooo, that extra 330 ft. should put me right dead in that 6500-6800 rpm range.

But congrats on your 4.95 330 time. Thats pretty awesome! I'd say your truck would run 5.0hs or 5.teens where I race consistantly, which is very good for that track. Like I said, its a minimum of a tenth slower for cars with any amount of power. A bigger stall converter will def. get ya out of the line quicker provided you can hook up. I think its now time to start "loosing weight", lol. Also, if its legal, you could try a trans. brake. That will let ya really stall out plus it'll make your reaction times more consistant.
