ok heres the problem.... theres refrigeint stuff inside mah ac but it still blows hot air and the switch it on cold.......anyone got any ideas on what the problem might be... ive checked the fuses relays and etc. its all ok the lines and stuff even knew oil in the compressor and o-rings so iono.......can anione help me out.......i dont realli wanna pay a shop 300-400 to fix it u kno..............

the freon. It may be bad. Have to get it refilled. I dont know much about 240 ac, because i dont use them lol.

oh well then yea.....should of said you got new instead of "there's refrigient stuff inside" lol. Here's what i would do remove the damn AC.

you probably didn't use the right kind of freon

either that or you have a major leak and it all leaked out fast...

in fact I probably know you didn't use the right kind, the old s13 ac units run off of the old style freon known as R12. New cars use R134a, and thats the type of freon you can buy in stores. A normal person cannot buy R12, and even if you do have the liscense to get it, it is EXPENSIVE as SHIT!!!!!

now you can convert the a/c system over to R134a, basically this required new a/c line fittings to hook up the gauges, and a different type of oil in the a/c system. There are a few different types of oil too. The wrong one can make it not work, even if its full of freon and not leaking.

By law when you convert to R-134 the shop doing it must put on a sticker under the hood that says he converted it, what kind of oil they used, and how much of the fluid and gas used...............

if you don't have that sticker your fuct.... you either have an R12 system or you don't know whats in your conversion system and pretty much the whole a/c system has to be gone through and flushed out or replaced.


A/C is really not something for amatuer people to do, it requires vacumes and special gauges to really do it right. Plus you have to know about the oils and the system. its not like taking off a tire

c'mon guys i aint that dumb i kno about r-12 and r-134 i used the r-134 before i put that in i got the a/c vacuumed out so yeah.........
