transmission cooler
I wanted to add an aftermarket transmission cooler to a 1998 Mazda 626 (6 cyl) automatic. When I looked under the hood, I could not see any transmission lines going into or out of the radiator. When I looked at the transmission from below the car, I saw only one hose coming out and it seemed to go somewhere near the thermostat (the same place the lower radiator hose goes).
This is all very confusing. How is the transmission fluid being cooled in this car if it is not being routed through the radiator? Also, why only one hose is coming out of the transmission and not two?
